KISS OF LIFE Update

As you might know, I planned to release Vivica and Niko’s story this month. As you might not know, some shizz happened and my mind took me creatively in another direction… so I’m pushing Kiss of Life back to the end of November.

Pray for Mojo...

Pray for Mojo…

This year has been crazy in terms of writing. Other than a ridiculously long break between Kiss of Fire and Flower in the Desert (four months, ugh. Never again), I’ve been releasing a book a month. It’s a fast pace and sometimes I can keep up and sometimes I can’t. Some books come easily (The Burning One) and other books are a fight to the death (Stone Cold Knockout). I’m hoping that Kiss of Life won’t fight me. I’m so excited to have all the St. James gang together in one book!

I’ll admit it – the pressure is stressing me out and it’s kind of frying my brain. Unfortunately, I did it to myself! Next year, there’s no way I’m going to take that long of a break in between releases. It’s haunted me ever since 😦

So look for Kiss of Life in November! I’ll let you know my release date when I have it.

As for those wanting to know my dark erotica pen name… you can PM me on Facebook and I’ll give it to you 🙂

New Cover Reveal!

Hey guys!

So I’ve been taking a bit of a break from writing and catching up on all the reading I’ve been putting off for the past few months. I’ve read at least ten books since finishing Kiss of Fire. Whew! However, my down period is coming to an end. Both Stone Cold Knockout and Kiss of Life are in the forefront of my mind now, and I hope to have SCK out by the end of May. Woot!

Anyway, in other news, my (other) new series, Dirty Rotten Dixons, is also floating to the forefront. The first book is slated for a holiday release, probably in November. Super excited about this BWWM series!

And guess what?devil_blackheart

Next week I’ll be revealing the cover and synopsis for A Devil Named Dixon (Dirty Rotten Dixons #1)!

Yay!

Then it’ll be up on Goodreads to add as a To-Read!

Yay!

So much exciting news.

Lastly, I want to thank all of YOU for reading/buying/reviewing Kiss of Fire. I love the response it’s been getting. Toni and her fireman hold a special place in my heart, that’s for sure. I’m so happy you guys have been enjoying the St. James Family series so far. Not to get mushy, but I’ve always been a writer, since I was a kid writing fan fiction about Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (lol), so it’s so amazing to finally be able to write and connect with readers. So grateful!

Okay, I think that’s enough for today. Happy Thursday!

KISS OF FIRE Deleted Scene

So Kiss of Fire is out now, as I’m sure you all know 🙂 Anyway, this was a scene I cut from the book. Although I liked this silly scene between Annata and Toni, it didn’t really flow with the rest of the book, and it didn’t have a good enough pay-off, so it ended up on the cutting room floor. Hope you enjoy.

As always, mature readers only!

What do you think about blow-jobs?” Toni asked, laying on her back in Nat’s bed. Nat froze in the middle of unpacking her suitcase, giving Toni a sharp look.

Are we really having this conversation?”

Yes, we are.” Toni said matter-of-factly, ignoring the blush that was spreading across her face. “Specifically, do you have any tips?” Nat sighed heavily, unearthing a few silk blouses from her bag.

I just got back from China, dear. I’m jet-lagged and very tired,” she said, her voice muffled in the walk-in closet.

This is the perfect conversation to have when you’re jet-lagged and tired. In a few minutes, you’ll pass out and forget we ever had it.”

You have about-” Nat checked her gold watch,“- ten minutes before Christy gets back from his father’s house, so go.”

Okay.” Toni sat up on her knees, clenching her hands in her lap. “So…” Toni trailed off, trying to figure out how to word what she wanted to say.

I feel like we had this talk before, when you were like sixteen or something?” Nat asked, dropping her shoes into the clear bins that lined the shelves, where she stored her heels.

We did, but it was very… perfunctory,” Toni said. Nat raised her eyebrow, impressed at the S.A.T. word Toni had pulled out of her hat. “I mean, I’m no virgin. I’ve given a blow jobs, but nothing, like, earth-shattering.”

And you want earth-shattering?” Nat asked, dropping her hands to her hips.

Yes.”

Is the man in question reciprocating downstairs?” Toni nodded so eagerly that Nat laughed out loud.

Yes.” Toni said. “Two words. Earth. Shattering.” Toni thought about how good O’Donovan had worked her over and felt her spine tingle a bit.

Oh.” Nat said, eyes wide. “Well, alright.” She shook her head, like she couldn’t believe she was about to say what she was about to say. “The key is enthusiasm. Once you figure out what he likes- or you ask him – then you just go at it like it’s the best thing that you’ve ever tasted. The best thing you’ve ever felt. His pleasure is of the utmost importance. Taunting him, teasing him, all of that is part of it.” Nat gazed off, like she was thinking. “And always swallow. There’s really no gracious way to spit out come, you know?” Nat shrugged, then went back to her unpacking. Toni took a deep breath, trying to keep from laughing.

You swallow?”

Always.” Nat said, pulling out her cosmetics bag and unzipping it. “I mean, I like to swallow. But it’s up to you.”

Toni couldn’t help it anymore, she doubled over in laughter. “Oh my God!” She squealed. “I thought I could have an intelligent conversation with you about this, but I don’t know.”

It’s just sex, Toni. You shouldn’t take it too seriously,” Nat deadpanned.

I’ll remember that,” Toni said, still giggling.

So. Earth-shattering, huh?” Nat said. Toni nodded again, giving her a knowing look. “Good for you.”

My long drought has ended,” Toni said, flopping over onto her side. “I can tell you what, I don’t think enthusiasm will be my problem.”

Oh!” Nat’s eyes lit up. “One thing I like to do is-”

Woman!” Christy called up from downstairs, the front door slamming closed. “Where are you?”

Up here!” Nat called out.

What’s the thing?” Toni stage-whispered, hearing Christophe coming up the stairs.

Hmm?” Nat said, distracted.

The thing!” Toni squealed, just as Christophe swung open the bedroom door.

What thing?” he asked, yanking off his tie, looking tired. Nat gave him a look and shook her head, a smile on her face.

Don’t ask,” she giggled. Toni hopped off the bed.

Well I guess that’s my cue.” Toni sighed. “I’ll lock up when I leave,” she tossed over her shoulder.

Good-bye, dear,” Nat said, throwing her arms around Christy’s neck.

Bye, Toni,” Christophe said, before kissing Nat. Toni headed down the stairs and grabbed her purse off of the center island in the kitchen as her sister’s laugh echoed through the townhouse.

Sex fiends,” Toni murmured, smiling. Now that she’d had O’Donovan, she totally understood. She had every intention of jumping his bones the second she saw him again. She turned off the kitchen light and the lamp in the living room, then she shut the front door behind her, locking both locks. As she headed down the sidewalk toward the train, her phone vibrated, signaling the arrival of a text.

Nat: Don’t forget about the balls. Very important.

Toni laughed all the way to the train.

KISS OF FIRE is #1!

Kiss of Fire, released this past week, just hit #1 in the Amazon Multicultural Romance Category, as well as the Multicultural Hot 100 New Releases list. Wowza! KISS OF FIRE up on Amazon now!!

Hey guys!

Kiss of Fire

Kiss of Fire

I was just so excited I couldn’t wait any longer, so I jumped the gun a bit. Kiss of Fire is now available here for Kindle!

It’ll be up on B&N and Kobo later in the week.

Here’s the synopsis:

Can you make a man fall for you with one homemade peach pie? Toni St. James is aiming to find out…

Two years ago, Antoinette ‘Toni’ St. James almost died in a fiery car accident. Luckily, a good Samaritan pulled her from the flames just in time. Toni will never forget the act of kindness, nor the way she felt in the mysterious stranger’s arms. When she finally tracks her hero down, she’s not quite prepared for how difficult he’ll be…

Two years ago, New York City firefighter Sebastian O’Donovan was in the right place at the right time. Doesn’t make him a hero. He was just doing his job. The last thing he needs is Toni St. James tracking him down like she owes him something. She may be beautiful, and she may be young, and he may be drawn to her like a moth to a flame… but dammit, he just wants some peace and quiet in his life! He doesn’t need a distraction like Toni. Not at all. Not even a little bit.

Unfortunately for O’Donovan, Toni has no intentions of leaving him be. She’s got her eye firmly set on the infuriating man, and she won’t stop until she’s in his bed… and in his heart.

Contains one brooding Irishman, one happy-go-lucky ballerina, and one sinfully sweet HEA.

For Mature Readers Only.

At the end of the book, there’s also a Sneak Peek for Stone Cold Knockout (House of Pain #1) which will be out this summer. Exciting, right?

Hope you guys love reading about Toni and her man as much as I loved writing about them!

New Cover Art for THE BURNING ONE

So, I decided to update the cover art for The Burning One, because I felt like the first cover didn’t really get across what the book was about. I think this new artwork is a lot more eye-catching. Woot! I feel good about it. It should be live on Amazon by the end of the day. Very exciting.

When I decided to write The Burning One as a stand-alone, I didn’t realize how difficult it would be to market it! It’s a rock-star romance (such stories usually involve drug-use, multiple partners, and other wild and crazy scenarios) which hasn’t really gotten a hold in the Interracial/Multicultural romance niche. Stories about billionaires still rule in our little corner of romance, but I’m going to keep chipping away at that as much as I can. Otherwise, it’s going to get stale, and we can’t have that! Interracial/Multicultural romance is my jam and I love that superstar writers like Dez Burke, Theodora Taylor, Kenya Wright, and Violette Dubrinsky are trying to take the niche in new directions and to new heights.

Anyway, back to writing Kiss of Fire now… see y’all on March 20th 🙂
